Back in March, Bryn & Erich’s Star Wars wedding transformed Gilley’s Dallas into a galaxy far, far away.
Blue and purple fabric draped the arch for this Star Wars wedding ceremony. In lieu of table numbers, the couple used names like “Planet Express Ship” and ” USS Enterprise.” The groom’s cake for this Star Wars wedding mimicked the robot R2D2. Tables were topped with rich purple linens.
From the planner: The bride is a project manager and the groom is an engineer. This self proclaimed “nerdy” couple wanted a casual wedding that incorporated their mutual love for Star Wars. They got married on the loft patio of one of their favorite beer joints which has a stunning view of the Dallas skyline. A surprise ending to the ceremony for the groom was a Nerf War staged by the bride and all guests. Reception decor was DIY and included purple and black linens, and centerpieces that were plastic model Star Wars ships from the groom’s childhood collection.
