Blue Mountain Mist Wedding

Some of East Tennessee’s favorite wedding vendors decided to help one lucky couple start 2021 the BEST way: eating, drinking, and being married in a Blue Mountain Mist Wedding.

We planned a giveaway on Instagram all took care of all the details. We went through 2 other winners before we found Sydni who was able to get married on our date. Her original plan was to Chapel and Chick-fil-A, so she was so happy to drive from GA to let us take care of everything.

The Winner received: Wedding design, Ceremony attire, Meal for 15 people, 2-tier cake, Invitation Suite, Day-of Coordinator, 8-hour photography package, Ceremony officiant, Ceremony + Reception floral, Ceremony + Reception acoustic music, Bridal hair + makeup, 2-night cabin stay for Mr. & Mrs. – a $10,000 VALUE!

From the bride: We were so blessed to win a giveaway for a free wedding! I’m sure everyone thought I (Sydni) was crazy when I told them I would win. I just really wanted an intimate wedding and was not sure about the details.

I actually had such a hard time deciding on specifics, but everything about the original post advertising the giveaway seemed perfect!

The joke was that if I didn’t win we would get married in the chapel at my church then have Chick-fil-A at the reception! I could not have imagined how beautiful it would be!

All of our decor was generously planned and provided by Vintage Floral Designs, I Do… Weddings, Rothchild Event Rentals, and set up in the beautiful Blue Mountain Mist Inn. The pictures I saw in the post had come together even more beautiful than I could have imagined!

I’m a very sentimental person so we had pictures from our parent’s wedding day and their cake toppers on our cake table.

Beth at Vintage Floral Designs really outdid herself! She created a stunning floating arbor, amazing tablescapes, my perfect bouquet, and beautiful boutonnieres and corsages! The combination was breathtaking!

Her original ideas were so perfect that all that I wanted to add were quicksand roses and she very kindly did so! She’s an artist!

Our dress and tux were also provided by the giveaway! The day before our wedding we went to Regal Tuxedo Knoxville where Travis picked up his navy tux which obviously looked great on him!

Next, we went to Vow’d to find my dress. I found a beautiful beaded gown in the style “Radiant”.

I also wore my paternal grandmother’s pearls, my maternal grandmother’s diamond ring, my aunt’s diamond bracelet, his grandmother’s antique mink stole, and her little pumps! Did I mention that I was a tad sentimental?

I’m sure Travis would say that our reception dinner ranks pretty high up there in our favorites that day! Alvin, our caterer, provided a delicious meal for our reception. We had a strawberry spinach salad, perfect steak, mixed vegetables, and a baked potato.

Our cake was also delicious! It was a white frosted strawberry cake with fresh flower accents by Cakes by Maya. We also had a beautiful charcuterie board from The Charcuterie Cutie with lots of sweet treats too!

Seeing Travis when I walked down the aisle with my precious daddy was definitely the highlight of my day.

Our vow exchange was short but nothing could have been sweeter! Our first dance was a tad clumsy, but I’m sure no one noticed with Luke Sunderland’s talented musical stylings to help make us look good! It was the most perfect day!
