Wedding inspo and decor:
From the bride: Our inspiration for our Bell Mer wedding was classic and timeless with a minimalist aesthetic – something that when looking back many years from now, wouldn’t look too trendy.
With the wedding in December, we wanted a winter theme with just evergreen, white, and touches of silver as the color palate.
We hired Greenlion Design out of Newport, RI for the florals and design.
Kim and her partner did an amazing job in realizing our winter wonderland vision with beautiful evergreens, white floral, and romantic candles.
Fashion: My husband and I both embraced the winter season for our wedding day looks.
I knew when we picked our date in December that I wanted long lace sleeves with a classic frame – inspired by Grace Kelley. Timeless and classic.
My husband knew immediately he wanted a velvet tuxedo jacket to add some style and personality to the classic men’s look.
The bride and groom’s favorite moments: One of my favorite moments from our Bell Mer wedding was our first look.
We actually had the moment on the docks at the hotel we were staying at in Newport – Forty 1 North – prior to heading to the wedding venue.
The day was just slightly chilly, but very foggy, which added some wonderful mystery to the surroundings.
I loved the intimate moment for just the two of us to breathe and enjoy the water before the events of the day began. The photos came out beautiful!
Florals: We used an array of white florals in all elements of the design including the bouquets, centerpieces, and ceremony.
Greenlion also incorporated beautiful evergreen designs that not only added some drama to the decor but made the entire room smell like winter.
Advice from the bride: Do you – don’t feel pressure from social media or anywhere to spend money, energy, or stress on things that don’t bring a smile to your face.
