Baywood Weddings is a full-service venue in Coastal Delaware. We provide an on-site florist, catering, beverage, decor, and manage rentals.
From the bride: I’ve always been drawn to the idea of having an outdoor wedding in the evening. There’s something magical about love, family, friends, good music, good food, and dancing at night under the lights.
I wanted to keep things simple decor-wise with a focus on the florals. Our venue, Baywood Clubhouse, is so beautiful that I knew we didn’t have to do much.
We had a beautiful floral backdrop for our ceremony that really was a focal point. Peonies have always been my favorite flower, so I wanted to incorporate them as much as possible and Baywood did an amazing job bringing my vision to life.
Berta designed my dress. I had my eye on Berta before we even got engaged. It was by far the most beautiful dress I’ve ever ( and will ever) wear in my life. So much detail and sparkle. I really felt like a princess. Tony chose a navy blue tuxedo. He always looks great in blue and got it custom-made for our special day!
Tony and I met through my oldest brother. They went to college together and have been friends for years. One day, things were just different between him and me and that was it.
He proposed on Lake Seneca in the Fingerlakes on a dock that he lined with candles on the last night of our vacation. It was just the two of us, totally unexpected, and incredibly romantic.
Saying our written vows to one another in front of all of the people we love. It was really special.
Enjoy every minute. Don’t let stress get in the way of any of it because the days of planning sometimes feel long and unpredictable, but the time really does fly by and you’ll want to relive it over and over.
