A classy wedding at Bash Wedding Venue in Carmel, Indiana.
It was a snowy Sunday morning in February when Katie + Lucas were on their way to grab some pizza. Lucas had other plans though as he lead them along a detour to “go on a walk” aka propose to Katie at a local disc golf park. It took some convincing but Lucas managed to get Katie to agree on the quick walk, (I mean, she was ready to eat some pizza, I don’t blame her!).
They passed through a few walkways until they arrived at a snow-covered bridge. Lucas fell behind while Katie continued onward. Not a moment later she sensed him missing and turned around to see Lucas on his knee (in the snow mind you) proposing to his best friend!
Katie got ready in the cutest Airbnb and when I arrived, she instantly greeted me with open arms as if we had been friends forever, love her to death! I first virtually met these two back in December. We didn’t have a chance to shoot their engagement photos but here in June, we’re doing a ‘newly weds’ sesh!
It’s sure been a whirlwind for them, Katie + Lucas had to reschedule their wedding three times, the fourth time is a charm, right? You know it! These two were so ready to be married!
Their Bash wedding was full of beautiful neutral colors and timeless vibes. Katie looked stunning in her Sophias gown while Lucas rocked a navy suit in New Balances! Their vision was perfect for any season and I absolutely love that. (Considering they were originally going to get married in June).
This day was full of waterworks! First, the first look with Katie and her father. So sweet and warming! Then, Katie’s parents gifted her a rosary from when she was a child, and goodness, it was so precious to hear the story behind it. Lastly, right after the ceremony, Katie + Lucas went outside and just held each other shedding tears in a truly blissfully beautiful moment.
Let me tell ya, these two were so laid back and FUN and you could just tell they wanted everyone to have a great time. They even had a pizza food truck (delicious)! I hope this wedding trend continues because it’s so much fun.
As their night came to an end, friends and family circled around the bride and groom holding each other on the dance floor while singing “I Want To Know What Love Is”. It was the perfect ending.
