Ashley & Chibueze’s glamorous ballroom wedding took place at Crystal Ballroom at Sunset Harbor in Daytona Beach, Florida.
From the photographer: Ashley and Chip were already married because they wanted to do things right according to their religious beliefs. Last year they could not afford the wedding of their dreams, so they got married and decided to save for a year to have their wedding of their dreams 1 year later. The couple incorporated Chip’s Nigerian heritage with the couple changing into full Nigerian attire halfway through the reception.
From the bride: The inspiration for our wedding was Chibueze and I of course! We wanted our wedding to reflect us as a couple. The theme we were going for was timeless and elegant with a hint of glitz and glam and a Nigerian twist! Our color scheme was navy blue and blush pink with silver glitter accents! My father was the officiant for our wedding which was extremely special to us. My grandfather who was also a pastor, passed away a few years ago, but it was really important to incorporate him in our day. So we found a video of him praying at my sister’s wedding and extracted the audio from the video and played the audio at our wedding for our opening prayer! There was not a dry eye in the room! For our unity ceremony, we used Unity in Glass. It’s similar to sand, but the company sends you glass crystals instead. You pick different colors and then mix them together during the unity ceremony. After the ceremony, we sent them back to the company Unity in Glass and they will be glassblowing our crystals into a beautiful statue!
