Natural elements added to the ambiance of Annie & Benno’s California vineyard wedding at Firestone Vineyard in Los Olivos.
From the bride: With a work background that included event planning, I decided to plan and implement the decor. The location of the wedding reminded me of the landscape in Tuscany, Italy. The tables were large farm tables that allowed 8-10 people to eat together. The floral arrangements on the tables were natural bouquets in large wooden boxes. The groom built an arbor out of bamboo and the florist put white orchids winding through two strands of the bamboo. It was gorgeous! We did not have a theme but our vision was to have a small, intimate wedding of fifty people. The man who officiated our wedding incorporated language that spoke to both of us. It was drawn from Buddhism and some Christianity.
From the photographer: Annie and Benno were married under Benno’s handmade arches of bamboo and surrounded by their dear family and friends among the beautiful Firestone Walker vineyards. Benno also had a hand in the construction of the barn that held their reception. The weather agreed and the night turned into a fun fall evening in the Santa Ynez Valley.
