AHHA Tulsa Wedding

AHHA Tulsa Wedding: Katie Hilton is a friend and fellow wedding vendor specializing in all things custom decor, so when we heard of her engagement we were ecstatic to be a part of their big day.

Katie has been a part of hundreds of weddings with her work, so planning and executing for her and her hubby was smooth and fun. Having a bride that is familiar with wedding industry lingo who knows what she wants is a gem in the rough.

Katie and Jeff complement each other very well, their personalities shine through their colorful floral and elegant wardrobe. We are so grateful to have many friendors such as Katie, and we wish the best for her and Jeff as they begin their life together as husband and wife.

From the bride:

Jeff and I wanted our wedding to be unique to us and feel like a celebration. We wanted our dogs, Peyton and Luna, to be included in our ceremony so that was at the top of our list when looking at venues.

Our color palette was black and white with pops of bright colors. We wanted the style to be classic and timeless. Whitney, our wedding planner, helped our vision come to life and showed us the best venue; the AHHA art museum made the ideal backdrop for our wedding and ceremony.

Our wedding cocktail hour and reception were in a three-story art museum so I knew I wanted to keep the decorations simple so the art in the space could shine. I added pops of bright colors where I could but kept the signage and table linens classic black and white. The ceremony in the outdoor courtyard was green and bright!

We added personal touches everywhere we could; we wanted our guests to leave our wedding knowing we had planned it together, from our hearts!

Our wedding favors featured inside jokes from our favorite shows like a custom “Arrested Development” stair car for display and favorite things in our day-to-day life like a sample bag of coffee from our favorite local shop Topeca.

Other personal touches included late-night pizza from our favorite local shop Andolini’s and signature cocktails with liquor from distilleries we visited.

Customize your wedding to your style and don’t let trends dictate your ideas. And try making most of the choices together so it’s an equal representation of both of you.

We put a lot of trust in the vendors and had a stress-free day. I knew I picked the most talented people and just let them do their jobs. Our wedding planner and her team were incredible with every detail and our day was perfect from start to end. My wedding day was the happiest day of my life, without a doubt.
