Inspired by how they met, Megan & Michael created a flight-themed wedding complete with portraits in a United plane.
Instead of a traditional guest book, guests signed a globe. Signs around the wedding had planes on them and mentioned flight and travel, adding to the theme of the event. Antique airplanes topped tables for this flight-themed wedding. Even the cornhole game on the lawn had an airplane on it.
From the photographer: Michael and Megan met on a plane. He was a pilot and she was a flight attendant. They met on CommutAir (United Airlines) and took their special day back to where it all began. Michael and Megan later changed airlines, but continued dating. Dates happened based on schedules and what hubs and layovers they each had for the next 4 years until they said “I do”. United gave us permission to use the plane and document their love. The actual wedding took place at Young Sommer Winery on Lake Ontario where lots of aviation themed decor was enjoyed. I like to call their wedding Love is in the Air.
