Bright orchids with blues and purples decorated the venue for CarolAnn & Phillip’s colorful Washington wedding last summer.
How he asked: Phillip asked me to marry him March 16, 2016, we had been dating for about 9 months. He took me snow boarding for my first time on silver mountain in Kellogg, Idaho. We hiked up to an old lookout and then walked over to a cliff that had an amazing view. However, it was cloudy so the view wasn’t the greatest that day. He then asked me if I wanted a candy and pulled out a ring pop, as I was opening that he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I of course said “yes!” I wasn’t very good at snowboarding and did more falling than anything so I wasn’t having a very good time at all, but at the end of the day I had a smile on my face.
From the photographer: This was a beautiful wedding of a young couple who met square dancing. To reflect that fact their wedding guests were delighted with a special Bride and Groom Dance in addition to the traditional First Dance and Bridal Party Square Dance. The wedding took place on a sunny day in a gorgeous setting overlooking Spokane Valley. Both CarolAnn and Phillip are from a small town in North Idaho, they love snowboarding, hiking and hunting together. That’s why when CarolAnn was planning her wedding they had a lot of decorations inspired by their hunting hobby. Also, CarolAnn had her dress hand stitched with color of the wedding.
