Various hues decorated Yvonne & Alan’s purple California wedding at Hillsborough Raquet Club and King Wah Restaurant in January.
How he asked: Yvonne and Alan are high school sweethearts. Their proposal was at San Francisco Twin Peaks, where it was the perfect sunny blue sky with Blue Angels soaring through the San Francisco skyline. It was at that perfect place and moment that Alan finally asked Yvonne to marry him. From that point, they knew they wanted to have a simple purple themed wedding.
From the photographer: They decided to choose Hillsborough Racquet Club where they held their ceremony, with an indoor fireplace. They wanted to keep the decorations simple and elegant to really showcase the beautiful fire place with two purple flower columns on each side, along with burning candles throughout the aisle to accentuate a intimate winter wedding with their closest family and friends in attendance. Followed by their banquet at King Wah Restaurant, keeping it elegant, they covered the walls with white, grey, and purple drapes. They really wanted to brighten up the place by placing up-lighting the front. The whole wedding was themed with shades of purple, coincidentally this is also Yvonne’s favorite color. The shades of purple were seen throughout the wedding, from the bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen tie, to the wedding cake and dessert bar. They even passed out lavender seeds as party favors.
