The American Swedish Historical Museum in Philadelphia was the perfect location for Carly & Scott’s dainty spring wedding.
When having a wedding at a museum, the decor doesn’t have to take over the space because of the existing elements. The ceremony, originally scheduled to take place outside, had to be moved indoors due to rain. The staircase provided a built-in arch that served as the altar, so you would never know this was a back up plan. After the ceremony, guests moved to the tented reception area where tables were draped with classic white linens. Centerpieces were build from white pillar candles and single buds of peach flowers and mint green succulents.
From the photographer: The rain caused a little change in plans because ceremonies at this venue are usually outside. Despite the rain, their wedding was so fun that even all of the vendors were dancing (including me)!
