The industrial venue created a contrast to highlight the decor in Sarah & Clay’s shabby chic Midwest wedding.
The exposed brick walls and open ceiling of the venue, Neo on Locust, lent itself to Sarah’s rustic design for this shabby chic Midwest wedding. String lights and white lanterns hung from the ceiling. For the ceremony, chairs faced the windows which allowed ample natural lighting for the nuptials. After the ceremony, the room was transformed for the reception. Guest tables were topped with white linens and gray napkins. Centerpieces consisted of twine-wrapped bottles to add to this shabby chic Midwest wedding.
From the photographer: Sarah and Clay have a beautiful blended family – she has two older children from a previous relationship, and they have an adorable little boy together. They were married at Neo on Locust in the heart of St. Louis, surrounded by their family and friends.Sarah, a former hair stylist, created all the centerpieces and designed the look and feel of her wedding. She wanted a shabby chic, elegant look and she added hues of gold and blush to create a soft, romantic look.
