Shotgun shells and cute hunting quotes brought together the theme in Sharilyn & Jim’s hunting-inspired wedding at Colorado State University.
Usually it’s the ladies’ bouquets that make the statement, but not in this case. The guys’ boutonnieres were wrapped in shotgun shells for this hunting-inspired wedding. The couple said their vows under shady trees on the campus of Colorado State University. Mason jars with twine on Shepard hooks lined the aisle. Cowboy boots also played into the decor and were worn by the bride and bridesmaids. The program design included burlap and lace. Three stuffed ducks decorated the programs table as guests arrived for the ceremony. Shotgun shells served as place card holders and noted the guests’ entree choice for the evening.
How he asked: He proposed in the very spot where they would eventually be married, in the Oval at the beautiful Colorado State University campus in Fort Collins. They had both attended school there together at the same time, even working a couple of doors down from each other – but they never actually met until they had met online.
