The unique setting of the Chihuly Garden and Glass exhibit created the perfect backdrop for Patricia & Michael’s colorful Seattle wedding.
The orange and yellow sculpture, which was suspended from the ceiling, created an interesting venue. During the ceremony, the space was lined with silver chairs and the aisle was set with orchid flowers. After the ceremony, the room was flipped for the colorful Seattle wedding reception. Tables were clothed with white linens and lime green napkins. The tables had alternating centerpieces with red roses, purple and green orchids and white hydrangea. The whole building had windows as walls, so the natural light played a role in the beauty of the wedding.
The couple’s story: Patti and Mike first met about 15 years ago after he moved to Seattle for a new job and to help his mother transition to the Pacific Northwest. The couple became good friends first and shared a love for God and people. They developed romantic feelings for each other and started dating. Mike knew that Patti had 3 favorite things: Christmas, Coca Cola and movies. Mike decided that proposing on Christmas day, personalizing a Coca Cola bottle and making a homemade video would make her heart explode. Of course Patti smiled a big, “YES!”
