Nature served as the inspiration for Ellen & Zac’s summer California wedding. The church and reception venue’s architectural design was the basis of the decor.
Playing off the naurtal elements of the building and the rolling vines at the winery, this wedding showcases nature’s beauty. Towering redwoods lined the backdrop of the ceremony. During the reception in the open pavillion, guests were treated to a panoramic view of the vineyard. Simple white linens and petite centerpieces with pops of pastel colors painted the reception tables for dinner. The bride also incorporated delicate flower designs in the menu cards and cake.
From the photographer: Their ceremony was held at the Portola Valley Presbyterian Church, tucked away under the redwoods with a floor to ceiling glass on either end of the spiritually inspiring nave. After the ceremony, we went to the Thomas Fogarty Winery, which is a stunning property with amazing vistas across its vineyards. Their reception was held in the pavilion with amazing light coming through over dinner and toasts.
