Oceanview Wedding in California: Jorge and I met through mutual friends and we hit it off right away, we could not stop laughing and talking on our first date and I think we both knew this was something special.
We were engaged in 2020 and COVID made it almost impossible to plan anything, which led us to postpone our wedding a full year.
I was never the girl who dreamt of their wedding since they were little. I didn’t even have a Pinterest board to guide me.
I told Jorge I had a non negotiable, I wanted to get married near an ocean! I love water so much, who wouldn’t want the pacific ocean as their backdrop? We flew to Orange County and scoped out venues for three days and none of them really spoke to us.
We flew back to Denver, and one night on Instagram I came across the Bel Air Bay Club and I fell in love. I’m in love with Spanish style architecture, so this was a sign. We toured the entire venue through FaceTime and that was enough to make us fall in love. It was secluded and very intimate, something we both really wanted.
I love flowers and peonies and my favorite color is black and white so I had to keep the flowers white and added a black napkin to tie in the room. We saw a lot of weddings on social media, but we’re minimalist, we like to keep things simple, elegant, and light.
We both come from Mexican background and we really wanted a mariachi band to start the night and both sides of our family really appreciated that.
We had to end the night with In N Out, Colorado went without these delicious burgers for the longest time until recently, so we would always crave a Double-Double and loved that it was our end of the night snack!
We had so much fun that day, we had planned this gorgeous day for two years and it went by in a flash, but we would not have had it any other way!
