Dallas and Gareth got engaged a few months ago and were kind enough to model for an Arizona airport elopement session for me. They have a 7 year love story and Dallas said she, “waited a long time for the ring!”, but as you can see, it was well worth it.
Her dream ring sits on her left hand and she and Gareth are excited to start their wedding planning. They’re currently checking out different venues in Phoenix, Arizona.
Proposal story: We went to a rainy breakfast on a patio alongside Pike’s Place Market. Afterward, Gareth recommended we take the Great Wheel before the line got out of hand throughout the day. We got in the Ferris wheel and I started taking photos and videos but he wasn’t looking around at all.
After one loop and me wondering what was wrong with him, he got on one knee, grabbed the ring from his pocket, and asked me to marry him. The best 7 year wait of my life. I SAID YES!
What was the most anticipated or special moment of your wedding day?
We can’t wait to have our special day together after many years of anticipation. I can’t wait to see his face when I walk down the aisle. I can’t wait to officially be his other half.
We plan on having a small, intimate, wedding in Cabo with our nearest and dearest that matches our modern, boho, trendy theme.
Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?
We haven’t done a lot of planning and we are not married yet but my main advice in regards to finding your person is to focus on your relationship and not the steps you “should” take to stay on the flow of traditional.
Building a stable foundation is the most important thing and there is no timeline on how to do things the right way. Do it your way. Sometimes being nontraditional is the way to go.
