Their wedding took place at Pinewood Weddings and Events Center in Cambridge Minnesota and included many Earth-toned pieces, an emotional first look with Angie’s Dad AND with John (where they shared personal vows), a hyped-up grand entrance WITH their guests, and managed to avoid all pockets of pouring rain all day. It was perfect to say the least.
Angie and John are high school sweethearts who have now been together for 8 years! They got engaged in Banff, Canada after purchasing their new home in Minnesota and starting their little family of 3 with their chocolate lab, Murphy! They are your adventure-loving, outdoor fanatic, Midwest romantics!
From the bride: Our wedding theme was modern elegance with a hint of boho. Our color palette came from the current season, Fall! Copper was our main color so we incorporated shades of copper throughout our day and added browns through the pampas grass to give a nice warm bohemian vibe. Then we added in white, black, and greenery to modernize it.
The florals had a major role in the styling of our wedding. We had florals on all of our copper pipe stands for our wedding signs, our triangle arch for our ceremony had florals on it as well as having large glass vases down the aisle which had tall stems of pampas grass in them.
Our head table had a long floral arrangement down the entire wooden table. The florals in my bridal bouquets, ceremony arch and head table were a mix of pampas grass, toffee colored roses, white roses, copper leaves, eucalyptus and orange mums! All the Fall vibes 🙂
A special moment of our wedding day, was our first look and vows. We decided to write our own vows to each other and keep them to ourselves for a more intimate moment. We read our vows to each other outside in the tall pines during our first look. It was such a beautiful moment that we were able to have before the start of our wedding. I highly recommend it!
Advice for other brides: The day will be perfect NO MATTER WHAT, because it is a day to celebrate you and your partner’s love. Nothing else matters!I will say two things that made a huge difference was, having an amazing relationship with our photographer! She knew exactly what our vision was and captured our day perfectly! Also having a day of coordinator to handle all things set up and tear down was a must so we could just enjoy the magical day!
