After postponing our original large wedding of 300 guests twice due to the pandemic, we decided that we didn’t want to wait any longer to make it official. On June 30th, 2021, we tied the knot with an intimate ceremony and dinner of 25 guests that consisted of the immediate family at The Arlington Estate wedding venue.
As a wedding planner and designer for Inspire Design Studio located in Toronto, Ontario, the overall design and details were very important to me. With the pandemic leaving such a dark cloud on the world, we wanted the design for our wedding to be bright, colourful, and fun.
We decided to go with a bold mustard yellow tone accompanied by blush and ivory to add a bit of softness, all tied together with gold accents. The result was a whimsical modern garden-themed outdoor celebration.
Given the small guest count, we really prioritized all of the fine details to add to the guest experience. Guests were greeted into the ceremony space with their own “Covid Kits” including hand sanitizer and face masks with our monograms on them, and as takeaways, we offered mini bottles of rosé, acrylic candy cubes, and gourmet donuts that were all packaged in coordinating day-of stationery.
Each guest table was meticulously curated with bold florals, matching menus for each guest, gold cutlery, and personalized acrylic place cards. Our guests are still raving about the design and all of the little details that added to the guest experience!
