Allely Estate Wedding Supports Cancer Society

Allely Estate wedding venue is located in Auckland, New Zealand.

Jony & Alistair reached out to us a month before their wedding.

Jony’s Mum had just been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Her one wish was to see these two get married.

The getting ready and ceremony was such an incredible celebration, with the bride’s mum by their side the whole time at their Allely Estate wedding.

After their first dance, everyone thought they were going to do a traditional, Filipino dance where guests leave cash at their feet.

Instead, they surprised everyone and shaved each other’s heads in solidarity with their mum and all those fighting cancer.

Guests still left cash at their feet, and they raised over $2,000 and donated it to the Cancer Society!

Since then, so many news outlets and radio stations have picked up the story; The NZ Herald, The Hits, The Epoch Times, Happily News, and The Coast. J&A also set up a “give a little” page too which has gotten so much love and support.

Last week, just 3 days after we delivered their full gallery, we got news that Jony’s Mum, Luna, had passed away.

They filmed a beautiful viewing session with her, which is something we will cherish forever.

Despite the incredibly emotional day, this was the most joyful wedding we have photographed- a true testament to Jony & Alistair and their families.
