Kristen and Matthew’s wedding took place in August 2020 at the Streamsong Resort in Bowling Green, Florida. Everything for their wedding was inspired by the natural elements of the venue and land surrounding it.
The steeple used at the ceremony was custom built by the bride’s father. It was made from reclaimed wood from The Biltmore where the bride’s mother and father’s wedding reception was held years ago. An original key found in the wood was placed in the top center of the steeple.
The wedding cake was beautifully crafted by the new husband and wife with over 800 sugar flowers. The bride owns a cake studio.
The groom wore a sharp navy suit. His unique boutonniere was made of pampas and burlap. The bride stunned in her gown that was accented by lace and crystals. The color scheme for the day was navy, blush, and white. Pampas, a popular wedding trend, was used as an accent in decor and flowers.
The resort Kristen and Matthew got married at is considered one of the top two golf courses in the country. It boasts stunning guest accommodations, restaurants, and spas. It is surrounded by lush nature. A perfect escape!
