Laurel & Alex’s rustic Georgia wedding was held at The Barn at Oak Manor last spring.
How he asked: We had been dating for over four years when Alex decided to propose. He was planning on proposing on our trip to Paris but I had figured out his plans. So a week before we left for Paris he changed his plan and reached out to my family to help. My brother had asked me to come to his house so that he and my sister-in-law could take me out for a birthday dinner. So I went to their house, got all dressed up and they “took me to dinner”. We went to Piedmont Park in Atlanta and when I got there Alex was standing there with a bouquet of flowers. He led me down this path to a tree where there were pictures of us hanging from a branch and he got down on one knee. As soon as I said “yes” mine and his family came from around the corner and surprised me. It was the perfect proposal.
From the bride: I think the most anticipated moment was our first look. It was a very sweet intimate moment with just each other, our photographer and videographer. When we finally got to see each other it helped to calm our nerves and just helped us to enjoy a day that was all about us. It was a special moment that we will always remember.
