An outdoor ceremony led to an indoor reception for Tracey & Micah’s elegant white wedding at Hilton Pearl River in New York.
How he asked: Micah and I had been living together for nearly 2 years. I’d had a rough week of production at work, and my boss “gave” me Friday off. Little did I know, she was in on the whole thing! I went to bed at 830pm and told Micah not to wake me until 11am the next day – I was wiped! Well, he had other plans! At 730am, (whether or not I liked it!), a rendition of our favorite song came blasting through our speakers. I was so confused, also a bit annoyed, until it all clicked. Micah does not blast an acoustic version of our favorite song at 730 am on the reg! I opened our bedroom door to find him there, standing surrounded by bouquets of red roses, hundreds of candles and rose petals on the floor. The rest is just a blur – so much so, that after he proposed and I said yes and the ring was on my finger, I asked him to do it all over again! I wanted to make sure I had that snapshot visual of looking at him, surrounded by roses and candles and petals, down on one knee. Its forever engrained in my memory.
From the bride: I was having a big wedding, and my husband’s family is from the West Coast (LA primarily). We knew we wanted a place that could make the wedding feel like a weekend-long affair – everyone could come in, get settled and expect to have everything they needed and a place to hang out together. The Pearl River Hilton met our dreams – they provided so many options for family rooms, breakfasts, Sunday brunch, yoga classes, pool hours and golf that it made the whole weekend the wedding event! It was a perfect place to provide everything we needed for a weekend affair!
