Sunflowers and autumn colors decorated Brooklands Farm for Nicole & Hugo’s rustic Ontario wedding last fall.
A wood arch anchored the rustic Ontario wedding ceremony. The reception was staged in the barn. Wooden signs directed guests to wedding festivities. As guests left, they grabbed favors – jars of honey.
From the photographer: From a small countryside farm to a maple syrup house and, much later, to a garden market filled with pick-your-own raspberries, Brooklands Farm has a history dating back to 1875. Today, this prominent Muskoka wedding venue hosted Nicole and Hugo’s outdoor autumn celebrations. From the rustic wooden arbour to the marsh backdrop, the shady spot under the grand old tree was the perfect ceremony location for Nicole and Hugo’s union. One particularly unique element to this wedding was the inclusion of guests in the grand exit, as Nicole and Hugo joined hands under a canopy of thrown leaves, each hand picked from the ground on the morning of their wedding. The reception took place inside the main building at Brooklands Farm.
