So much about planning a wedding is about the big things. The venue; the dress; the big ticket items that make up the majority of the budget. And to an extent, that’s okay! These are the most obvious items that will govern the success of the day, so it’s fine to focus on them.
There is, of course, an extra consideration for the bride with beauty options. With the venue booked, decorations in place and invitations sent out, thoughts turn to the idea of a beautiful bride. Unless you are one of those women who falls out of bed looking stunning (and we hate you a little if you are), then there’s much to consider.
Makeup

Only recommended if you know and trust someone and their skills. If you have a friend who’s a dab hand with a mascara wand, rope her in in exchange for extra champagne.
With that decision made, you have to decide how much makeup you want to wear. Many brides go for fresh and natural looks, with little eyeshadow and a bright lip as a pop of colour. This is popular for a reason, though there’s nothing wrong with going all out if you want to.
If you want to wear as little makeup as possible, consider eyelash extensions using tools from Paris Lash Academy and an eyebrow treatment the week before. They should last until the wedding day and mean you can go entirely natural, though still looking good, should you choose to.
Hair

With a sweetheart neckline, however, consider breaking the norm and wearing your hair loose. Soft curls can create a fairytale look for a real princess feel. If you don’t have the length naturally, then consider clip-in extensions. For extra detail, noticeable pins and pearls can create a stunning effect.
If you don’t feel comfortable making the decision yourself, then wedding hairdressers can guide you. Every bride is different and will suit different styles, so don’t choose what you “have” to – choose what works for you.
Nails
Image LinkFamous brands like OPI now produce bridal-specific nail lines, most of which are a mix of light pinks, creamss and neutrals. You don’t have to go with these, though. Gel nails will stand up through both the wedding and the honeymoon, or go for a brighter colour to stand out from the white of your dress. You can consider extensions, but be wary of one breaking on the big day and ruining the look.
All the little things are designed to make you feel like the most beautiful bride in the world. You want to look back on your pictures and be happy with every small detail, so give yourself time to make choices you’ll always love.
