Much responsibility falls on the head of the chief bridesmaid. One of these responsibilities is planning a fabulous bachelorette party. Follow our tips to create a wonderful evening that the bride will remember for a lifetime.

  1. Talk to the Bride

It is important to throw a party that the bride will enjoy. Have a chat with her about the things she does and doesn’t like. Some brides will relish a wild and raucous night. Others may prefer something a little more subtle. You don’t need to go into the fine detail, and you will probably want to keep some of your ideas a secret. But knowing what she will and won’t enjoy is a good place to start.

  1. Attendees

It is important to work out who will be attending early in the planning process. You can then tailor the evening accordingly. Some activities may not be suitable for all attendees.

Make sure the key invitees can attend before finalizing the date. Make sure you ask for RSVPs and follow up if people don’t respond.

  1. Theme

You don’t have to have a theme for your party, but it can be helpful. It could be a color or an aspect of the bride’s life, etc. It could also tie in with the wedding theme. When making decisions, having a theme can help you narrow down the possibilities. It can also provide you with new ideas and inspiration. Don’t be too rigid, though. Flexibility and spontaneity are good.

  1. Transport

When planning venues, it is important to think about transport. This is particularly important if the event takes place at multiple places. How will you transport everyone from A to B? You could nominate drivers for the night, but it is likely that everyone will want to let their hair down and have a few drinks. The other option is to hire a car and driver like Limo Find or the Get Chauffeured, limo hire services. The driver will be on hand all evening. You won’t have to worry about waiting for cabs or public transport.

  1. Enlist the Help of Friends

Depending on the size and complexity of the event, it is unlikely you can do everything yourself. Try and keep things as simple as possible and enlist the help of friends. You can also brainstorm ideas for activities, etc.

  1. Make a List

Making a list will save you some stress. Cross off items as you go. It will help you to remember outstanding tasks. It will also help you to avoid that middle of the night panic when you can’t remember whether you contacted the bride’s aunt.

  1. Just Before the Event

Just before the event go through the plan one last time. Confirm reservations with all the venues. Make sure you have all your props, games and goody bags.

It’s always a good idea to plan carefully and have a plan B in case things don’t go according to the schedule. Being organized will allow you to relax and enjoy the evening, without worrying you have forgotten something. Always allow for a little flexibility. The evening may take a slightly different direction, and this can be good. Remember to take lots of photos for the bride to keep. And keep a little something for the wedding speeches.
