Jie and David’s Tropical Miami Wedding

Jie and David’s tropical Miami wedding at Samsara Gardens featured lush flowers and touches of traditional Chinese decor. From the couple: “We came to the final look of our wedding day by just incorporating the favorite things we found during the planning process. We would describe the final result as a “vintage shipwreck in paradise” If that is even a thing! Our wedding date just happened to land on the lunar new year! So we incorporated some lanterns to honor the bride’s Chinese heritage.”

The venue for this tropical Miami wedding was already gorgeous without any decorations, the bistro lights the couple added to the courtyard where the dinner reception was held really gave the evening such a romantic vibe. The couple’s furbaby, Kirby, could not be there but they had prints of his sweet face attached to compostable straws as a personal touch and they were an unexpected hit with guests! Everything came together after the new husband and wife decided on the color palette for the florals. They based their color scheme as a very subtle homage to the official colors of the University of Florida (GO GATORS!), where they first met.
