Alyssa & Sean’s rustic mountain wedding took place in a barn among a stunning scenic view in Lake George, Colorado.
From the bride: We really wanted to have a rustic barn wedding with a beautiful view of the Colorado mountains. The barn at Wild Canyon Ranch was exactly what we had imagined with the gorgeous mountainside views and reclaimed wood interior. We decided to have olive green, blush, and grey as our colors to fit with the natural setting. Because our families have different religious views, we kept our ceremony non-religious. The only wedding tradition we had was an Irish Wedding Blessing read by the officiant (my uncle). Most of our decor was DIY. My father and I cut large wood slices from an old tree that was found on my grandparent’s old family homestead in Alaska. The wood slices were used as centerpieces with mercury glass candles, eucalyptus sprigs, and flowers.
From the photographer: Sean & Alyssa tied the knot with a small group of family and friends at the exclusive Wild Canyon Ranch. Sean is from Colorado and Alyssa is from Alaska. They incorporated elements from both of their home states. The sunset that September night was legendary and the photographer, videographer, and the couple spent the crucial time together on top of a hill. The couple’s first look was also insanely gorgeous inside the well-appointed barn.
