From the bride: Most of the decorations were DIY. We made a beautiful archway out of old doors and artificial flowers. I painted the doors a soft blue and distressed them to fit the decor. I also picked out soft pink and white peonies along with a lot of greenery. Each table had a number that we had burned onto a section of a branch that we cut into circles. We also placed a hand-made wood photo stand, with a camera burned into it to encourage picture taking. On top of each photo stand I made our hash tag. We also made a cute tag to go on each place setting to thank each guest for joining us for our first meal as Mr.& Mrs. We also handmade our favors (s’mores) with a tag that read: “ There is always room for s’more love”.

How he asked: He proposed after sending me out to get my car serviced so he could create a sign and gathered rose pedals to “welcome me home”. As I drove down the driveway I saw him standing in there. My brother and father were standing off to the side and my mother was in her car following me home. He stood holding a sign that said,“Hug Me, Love Me Forever?” (a phrase we often said to each other), but this time he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Tearfully I said “YES”. My brother captured the moment by taking pictures. My dad Facebook lived it for his family to see in Texas. The beginning of my fairytale.
