Having guests at your wedding makes the celebrations even more special. Therefore, you need to invite people to attend your big day. Invitations can be very stressful, so you should be sorting them out asap. Here’re some essential tips for sorting out your invites.

Sort out your guest list

Before you send out invitations, you need to create a list of people who you want to be at your wedding. Sit down with your partner and discuss how many people you are going to invite each. It’s important also to check with the venue how many they can hold. If there is anyone you want to invite but haven’t got the room for, you can always make a reserve list. Then if people drop out, you can always invite them then. Make sure you don’t let others interfere with who you both want at the wedding.

Have a list of addresses ready

To make sure that everything goes well, you need to get everyone’s addresses in advance of getting wedding invitations. Text people and ask them for their full address, including a postcode. Then you can make a spreadsheet which you can pass to the person creating them, or use to fill out the envelopes yourself.

Order more than you need

The worse thing that can happen with your invites is you end up with not enough. There is often people you may be able to invite if others drop out. Therefore, if you have don’t have enough invites, you won’t be able to give them one. If you feel like you are missing any for people on your list, it’s a good idea to call and get more ordered asap. Make sure you keep one for yourself as a memento.

Make them unique

Another essential tip for when you are sorting out your wedding invitations is to make them unique. You don’t want to regret getting invites that are boring or even worse, ugly. Consider what you would like to receive if you were a guest. As we discussed previously, the more unconventional they are, the more popular they tend to be.

Send an e-invite

Another tip for sorting out your wedding invitations is to consider whether or not you should send an e-invite as well, or even instead, of a hard copy. With people tending to check online first rather than their post, they will likely see it before the paper copy. You can find unique Wedding Invites and e-Invites online.

Give them plenty of notice

If you want people actually to come to your wedding, you should be giving them plenty of notice to book time off work and sort out travel and accommodation. It’s essential to give them at least four months notice, as you will need to give final numbers to the venue as soon as you can. Make sure to inform them of the date they must RSVP by.

The best advice we can give you is not to stress too much over the wedding invites!
